How Fast Travel Works

Fast travel is not available from the beginning. Early manual travel teaches you the island, shortcuts, Underlabs, locked doors, and dangerous routes.

Later, the train makes backtracking, cleanup, farming, and route testing much easier.

How to Unlock the Train

Find a train station and interact with the donation box. Donate Bones over time until the total reaches 10,000.

The donation progress is shared across the train network. You can donate small amounts at different stations and still work toward the same total.

Should You Donate Early?

Yes, but not before your build is stable.

Do not put all early Bones into the train if you still need:

• Main weapon upgrade
• Trinket Bag
• Isle Map
• Basic survival items
• Useful Underlab upgrades

Start donating spare Bones once Mina can survive normal routes consistently.

Best Time to Start Funding

Start serious donations after:

• Reaching Ossex.
• Rescuing Rhene.
• Unlocking Drillhardt.
• Buying Isle Map.
• Upgrading your main weapon once.
• Buying at least one Trinket Bag.

If you still die often in basic rooms, strengthen Mina first.

Why the Train Is Worth It

The train helps with:

• Returning to old regions.
• Reaching shops quickly.
• Farming Bones efficiently.
• Preparing for bosses.
• Cleanup and collectibles.
• Revisiting NPCs.
• Testing routes.

The longer the run goes, the more valuable fast travel becomes.

Train vs Map

Buy the map first for most players. The map tells you where things are. The train helps you reach them faster. Travel without understanding the world is less useful.

Train vs Weapon Upgrade

If enemies feel too hard, upgrade your weapon first. If combat is stable and you are backtracking often, donate more to the train.
