Quick Answer

To start 100% completion, unlock the Hollower’s Guild, rescue Rhene, reveal Drillhardt, buy the Isle Map, and later buy Enhanced Map. Do not fully clear every region early. Build Mina first, then return with better weapons, Trinkets, Sidearms, train fast travel, and map tools.

Do Not Start Full Cleanup Too Early

Mina has many collectibles, but trying to clear every region on your first visit is frustrating. Some items are easier or only possible after better weapons, Sidearms, Trinkets, map upgrades, and backtracking tools.

If a path looks unreachable, mark it mentally and return later.

First Priority: Unlock the Map

Before serious collecting, unlock the Isle Map through the Hollower’s Guild route: reach Ossex, enter the Guild, take the free Kear, rescue Rhene, return, reveal Drillhardt, and buy the map.

The map gives you the structure needed for backtracking.

Second Priority: Buy Enhanced Map

Enhanced Map is one of the best cleanup upgrades because it helps track region progress and missed collectibles.

Buy it when you are ready to clear old regions seriously. It is not always the first purchase, but it becomes very valuable later.

What Counts Toward Completion?

A full cleanup usually includes:

  • Trinkets
  • Sidearms
  • Weapon upgrades
  • Red weapon chests
  • Health upgrades
  • Plasma or vial upgrades
  • Bone Stones
  • Secret bosses
  • Optional quests
  • Map and Underlab upgrades
  • Hidden rooms
  • Train stations
  • Region checklist completion

Different checklists may count items differently, but the cleanup strategy is the same.

Best Time to Begin

Start full cleanup when you have:

  • Isle Map
  • Enhanced Map
  • Upgraded main weapon
  • Several Trinket slots
  • Reliable Sidearms
  • Train fast travel unlocked or nearly unlocked
  • Exploration Trinkets
  • Enough Bones for utility upgrades

If normal rooms still kill you often, wait.

Exploration Build

Good cleanup Trinkets:

  • Spring Heels
  • Wallower’s Gauntlets
  • Watchful Eye
  • Iron Lung
  • Bell of Grace if carrying Bones

Swap in defense if the area is dangerous.

Exploration Sidearms

Useful cleanup Sidearms:

  • Drill Driver
  • Fishing Rod
  • Recall Disc
  • Gyro Dagger

Switch Sidearms when a room looks strange. The right tool often matters more than raw damage.

Red Weapon Chests

Red weapon chests can give weapons or upgrades. Check side rooms, locked doors, elevated ledges, breakable walls, and suspicious dead ends. If a red chest is visible but unreachable, look for another entrance.

Secret Boss Cleanup

Do secret bosses after preparing. Spend Bones first, equip defensive Trinkets, bring a ranged Sidearm, and learn the fight before switching to damage.

Use the Train

Fast travel saves a lot of time during cleanup. Restore the train before serious region-by-region backtracking if possible.

Region Cleanup Method

For each region:

  1. Enter from the nearest station or Underlab.
  2. Check Enhanced Map progress.
  3. Explore obvious side rooms.
  4. Test suspicious walls and floors.
  5. Switch Sidearms when needed.
  6. Mark locked or unreachable paths.
  7. Return later if a tool is missing.

Final Tip

100% completion is about preparation, not brute-force wall checking from the first hour. Build Mina, unlock the right systems, then clean the island one region at a time.
